Outline of the activity
Children write about a variety of sporting activities taking place each day of the week through the medium of Welsh. They record their voices speaking the sentences to accompany each page of the story.
Skills Covered
Children practice their Welsh language Patterns in written form and orally to demonstrate their comprehension. They insert, rotate and resize graphics, choose suitable backgrounds and sounds and record their voices onto the program.
Rationale
The activity reinforced Welsh Language work in an imaginative way with the children working together to consolidate the terms language patterns in an imaginative way. Story Book Weaver is an ideal program to present this information with the added facility to record voices which reinforced the oral Welsh.
Result
The Stories were printed and made into books which were then kept in the Library corner for the children to read at their leisure.
