Students

Eight students successfully completed the advanced WBQ diploma.
At present, there are nine students in Year 12; thirteen in Year 13.

Of special note…

Learners are inducted into the WBQ when they enter the college at the beginning of Year 12.

Group tutorials are an integral part of the student’s WBQ programme. Group tutorials take place formally a minimum of once every half term and informally on many occasions. Completion of records and diaries is monitored by the tutor.

Key Skills Delivery

At present learners are attaining key skills at the following levels:

  • Communication, IOLP  and WWO at level 3.
  • PS, AON and IT at level 2.
  • Key skills are achieved through an integrated approach in the following areas.
Language delivery

The Centre uses the BBC language package on Italian, in conjunction with a Gwynedd TVEI pack written in Welsh. Teacher support is provided to students when they are developing their language skills.

Work related education

Students have been very enthusiastic about Team Enterprise, with a wide variety of activities undertaken.  The Team Enterprise has provided excellent opportunities for students to acquire naturally occurring key skill evidence for WWO.

WEW & PSE

These areas are delivered with a wide and varied range of experiences provided for the students.
